About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or buy the New Build Owner's Kit (the Kit). By buying the Kit you agree to them.

Your licence

When you buy the Kit, you can download it, print it and use it for your own home build, including sharing it with the people you're building with. You can't resell, share publicly, upload elsewhere or redistribute the Kit or any part of it, or use it to make a competing product.

General information only

The Kit helps you organise your records and ask better questions. It is general information, not building, engineering, legal or financial advice. It doesn't replace a licensed building inspector, your building surveyor or certifier, a lawyer, or your builder's obligations, and using it doesn't mean any work is safe, compliant or complete. Building rules differ between states and territories and change over time: always check your contract and the official sources for your state, and get professional advice for your circumstances.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars. Payment is processed securely by Shopify and its payment providers; we don't see or store your full card details.

Refunds

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't lawfully be excluded. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to the Kit is limited to refunding the price you paid, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, including losses arising from decisions made about your build.

Changes

We may update the Kit and these terms from time to time. The terms that applied when you bought the Kit apply to that purchase.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
